Filter Press is core equipment for deep dewatering in solid-liquid separation, specially designed for dewatering high-moisture materials. Adopting an integrated technology of "pressure filtration + filter cake pressing", it achieves deep dewatering by retaining solids with filter cloth and squeezing moisture under pressure. With low filter cake moisture content and high solid recovery rate, it is widely used in material dewatering for mineral processing, metallurgy, environmental protection, chemical engineering and other industries.
Its main structure includes filter plates, filter frames (or diaphragm filter plates), pressing mechanism, filter cloth washing system and control system. Filter plates are made of reinforced polypropylene or cast iron, with filtration area ranging from 5 to 1000 ㎡. The pressing system adopts hydraulic or mechanical drive, with operating pressure between 0.8–3.0 MPa. Filter cloth is made of polyester or polyamide, featuring corrosion and wear resistance. The PLC-based automatic control system supports remote monitoring. Processing capacity ranges from 0.5 to 50 t/h, and final filter cake moisture can be as low as 15%–40%.
The pressing mechanism clamps filter plates and frames tightly to form closed filter chambers. The slurry is pumped into the chambers under pressure; liquid passes through the filter cloth as filtrate while solids are trapped to form filter cake. Once the cake reaches a set thickness, diaphragm squeezing or secondary pressurization further reduces moisture. Finally, the plates are released and the filter cake discharges automatically, completing the filtration and dewatering process.
