Introduction: Hydrocyclone is an efficient classification/separation equipment commonly used in mining, mineral processing and other fields. With a conical or cylindrical-conical barrel as the main body and no moving parts, it realizes the separation of materials by particle size or density through centrifugal force. Its core functions include material classification, desliming and concentration, and it is widely used in mining beneficiation, metallurgy, chemical industry, environmental protection and other industries. It features simple structure, small floor space, large processing capacity, high separation efficiency and low operation cost, but is prone to wear.

Working Principle: The slurry (solid-liquid mixture) enters at high speed along the tangential direction of the barrel through the feed pipe, forming an intense rotating flow field and generating huge centrifugal force inside the barrel. Solid particles with high density and coarse particle size move toward the barrel wall under the action of centrifugal force and slide downward along the cone wall, eventually being discharged from the underflow port at the bottom to form "underflow"; while particles with low density and fine particle size as well as most of the liquid gather toward the center of the barrel under the action of centripetal force and are discharged through the overflow pipe at the top to form "overflow", thus completing the classification and separation of materials.
