Product Details
The Disc Feeder is a continuous and uniform feeding equipment. It quantitatively conveys the materials in the silo to the subsequent equipment through a rotating disc. It has the characteristics of stable feeding, convenient adjustment and simple structure, and is suitable for feeding scenarios of loose materials such as granular and powdery materials.
The Disc Feeder is mainly composed of a disc, a driving device, an adjusting device, a silo, a scraper and a frame. The disc is welded with wear-resistant steel plate, with a smooth and flat surface, and can be subjected to wear-resistant treatment (such as surfacing wear-resistant layer) according to material characteristics; the driving device is composed of a motor, a reducer and a coupling, driving the disc to rotate at a constant speed; the adjusting device includes a gate adjusting mechanism and a scraper adjusting mechanism.
The gate adjusting mechanism controls the thickness of the material layer on the disc by adjusting the height of the gate, and the scraper adjusting mechanism controls the discharge volume by adjusting the gap between the scraper and the disc; the silo is located above the disc for storing materials to be fed, and a reasonable gap is left between its bottom and the disc to prevent material jamming; the scraper is fixed on the frame for scraping the materials on the disc to the discharge port. According to the installation method, the equipment can be divided into seat type and hanging type; according to whether it is equipped with a stirring device, it can be divided into ordinary type and stirring type (suitable for materials that are easy to agglomerate).
The materials in the silo fall onto the rotating disc under the action of gravity, forming a material layer of a certain thickness. The disc rotates at a constant speed driven by the driving device. When the materials on the disc rotate to the scraper position, the scraper scrapes the materials off the disc surface, and the materials slide down along the scraper to the discharge port, and then are conveyed to the subsequent equipment. By adjusting the height of the gate, the thickness of the material layer on the disc can be changed. The thicker the material layer, the larger the feeding volume per unit time; at the same time, adjusting the gap between the scraper and the disc can control the thoroughness of scraping and ensure uniform discharge of materials. For materials that are easy to agglomerate, the disc feeder with a stirring device can break up the agglomerated materials through the stirring mechanism to ensure the continuity of feeding.
