Electromagnetic Separator

A special equipment that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to generate a strong magnetic field to adsorb ferromagnetic impurities. Product Details

A special equipment that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to generate a strong magnetic field to adsorb ferromagnetic impurities. Installed in the material conveying line, it can efficiently remove impurities such as iron nails, iron filings and iron blocks in materials, prevent impurities from entering subsequent crushing and grinding equipment to cause parts wear or equipment failure, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the production line.

It is mainly composed of electromagnet core, coil, magnetic conductive plate, iron unloading device (electromagnetic push rod or rotary iron unloading roller), cooling system and electric control cabinet. The electromagnet adopts a fully sealed structure with a protection level of IP65, which can work in dusty and humid environments. According to different installation methods, it is divided into suspension type (suspended above the conveyor belt), roller type (replacing the conveyor belt drive roller) and other types. 

The electric control system can realize automatic start and stop, timed iron unloading and fault alarm functions, and realize linkage control with the conveyor belt.

After the electric control system energizes the electromagnet coil, the iron core generates a strong magnetic field. The magnetic field forms a closed magnetic circuit through the magnetic conductive plate, forming a high-strength adsorption area above the conveyor belt or on the roller surface. When the material passes through the adsorption area with the conveyor belt, the ferromagnetic impurities are adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic conductive plate or roller by the magnetic field. 

After reaching the set time or adsorption amount, the electric control system controls the action of the iron unloading device: the suspension type pushes the scraper through the electromagnetic push rod to scrape off the impurities, and the roller type cuts off the coil power supply to make the magnetic field disappear, and the impurities fall off when the conveyor belt unloads, completing automatic iron unloading.

  • Forced air cooling or oil cooling system is adopted, the coil working temperature is controlled below 80℃, the continuous operation life of the equipment is over 10000 hours, and the fault diagnosis system can timely warn of coil overheating, line faults and other problems.
